rlyblonde, the project of Brooklyn-based multidisciplinary artist Carina Allen, has dropped her latest track ‘Girl In Your Story’. It’s a sonic contrast to her previous work, with its rock ballad sound expanding on themes of identity, femininity and romance. “My artwork across various mediums has often played with ideas of female tropes and stereotypes,” she says. “‘Girl in Your Story’ continues that exploration of my own identity, through performance and by embodying these various characters.” Her debut EP, Fantasy, is full of punchy, impassioned tracks; it dropped earlier in 2023 to rave reviews. -Dan Peeke
